Martin Short Joins Fox's Comedy Pilot 'Tax Man'

Comedian and actor Martin Short will star in the Fox comedy pilot 'Tax Man' opposite David Krumholtz, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Short will play the boss of an IRS office located in Fresno. 'Tax Man' will be helmed by Fred Savage with a script by Brent Forrester.

Martin Short received a Tony Award nomination and an Outer Critic Circle Award for his work in the 1993 production of Neil Simon's 'The Goodbye Girl'. In 1999, Short received a Tony Award and an Outer Critic Circle Award for the revival of 'Little Me'. Short also appeared on Broadway in his critically acclaimed one-man show 'Martin Short: Fame Becomes Me'. Other theatrical credits include 'The Odd Couple', 'The Producers' and 'Promises, Promises'. Short is also well known for his work on television, particularly on 'Saturday Night Live' and 'SCTV'. His other television credits include 'Arrested Development', 'Jimmy Glick in Lalawood', 'Curb Your Enthusiasm', 'Merlin', 'Alice in Wonderland', and 'Taxi'. His many film credits include 'The Three Amigos', 'Father of the Bride' and its sequel, 'Father of the Bride Part 2', 'Clifford', and 'Mars Attacks!'.
