NBC has cast Tony Award winner Marcia Gay Harden in a new comedy pilot based on the Canadian series "Le Monde De Charlotte," according to Deadline.com.

In 1993, Harden debuted on Broadway in the role of Harper Pitt in Tony Kushner's ANGELS IN AMERICA. The role earned her critical acclaim and she received a Tony Award nomination (Best Featured Actress in a Play).

In 2009, Harden returned to Broadway in GOD OF CARNAGE and received a Tony Award for her work in the play. Harden's work in film has earned her a 2000 Academy Award (for Pollock) and a 2004 nomination (Mystic River).

The show "centers on an otherwise normal, angry middle-class family that wrestles with the challenges of everyday life while raising daughter Isabel (Sophia Mitri Schloss) who has magical qualities."
