Shakespeare's timeless comedy. Young lovers Hero and Claudio are to be wed in one week. For a lark, they conspire with Don Pedro to set a "lover's trap" for arrogant confirmed bachelor Benedick and his favorite sparring partner, Beatrice . Meanwhile, the evil Don Jon conspires to break up the wedding by accusing Hero of infidelity, which leads to denunciation, tears, and a faked death. In the end, though, it all turns out to be "much ado about nothing." Amidst the two love stories, the members of the local constabulary provide some hilarious slapstick.Directed by Janet Quartarone.  For more information visist http://www.actorsnetbucks.org

Director Janet Quartarone of Flemington, NJ, leads Carol Thompson and George Hartpence of New Hope as the Bard's famed feuding lovers, Beatrice and Benedick, who are set up by friends to fall into a lover's trap. Theirs is a "merry war;" a love-hate relationship. Each believes he and she despises the other, not realizing they actually love each other.  The show also costars Alyssa Marshall of Philadelphia and Ray Fallon of Westmont, NJ as young lovers Hero and Claudio, whose trip to the altar is aided by Don Pedro (C. Jameson Bradley of Quakertown) and beset with plots of sabotage concocted by the evil Don John (Mark Riley of Levittown). Also featured in Much Ado About Nothing are (alphabetically) Rudy Basso, Jack Bathke, Alex Campbell, James Cordingley, Susan Fowler, Riley Frankhouser, Jeannine Ducharme Haight, John Helmke, Michael Krahel, Dennnis McGuire, James Petro and Emily West.

Produced by Virginia Barrie of Ewing, Much Ado About Nothing is being stage managed by Michael Krahel of Hillsborough, NJ. George Hartpence is set designer. Lighting design is by Andrena Wishnie of Morrisville. Sound design is by Corey Stradling of Morrisville.
