MTNZ Set To Celebrate Their 50th Year Of Existence

MTNZ will be celebrating their 50th year of existence at this conference and it is intended that it will be a most memorable one. Not to say that many other conferences haven’t been memorable but it is not every year you get to mark such a special occasion and milestone. Whilst Kate has advised many of the details of conference already through previous Spotlights, Zone One organising team have a few surprises up their sleeve for those who intend being there. They encourage you all to get your numbers attending sorted out and registrations in early for, if indications they are receiving are correct, they could see a record attendance. They are aware of a number of musical theatre people who regularly attended conference in the 1980’s and 1990’s and haven’t been since who are making a special effort to attend the 50th Anniversary celebrations.

They encourage, especially, Zone One and Two members who are in driving distance to Auckland, to send their members to the forums and seminars – with 11 forums and 10 seminars on offer for $20 per person for both sessions, this is an opportunity that MTNZ members cannot afford to miss.  They would also like to thank their corporate and education members Toi Whakaari and NASDA, for their sponsorship and ongoing support of their annual conferences – this is very much appreciated and to all those people who are presenting seminars or are on forum panels or facilitating and volunteering their time, MTNZ grateful thanks. They trust that productions either on stage or in rehearsal are going well for you and that despite the so called recession; you are all recording good attendances.
