Manhattan Theatre Club is pleased to announce the New York premiere of Of Good Stock, the new play by Melissa Ross (Thinner Than Water, Too Much Too Soon), directed by MTC's award-winning Artistic Director Lynne Meadow (The Assembled Parties, Wit, The Tale of the Allergist's Wife). The limited engagement of Of Good Stock will begin previews Tuesday, June 2 and open Tuesday, June 23 at MTC at New York City Center -- Stage I (131 West 55th Street).

The creative team for the new production of Of Good Stock will include: Santo Loquasto (scenic design), Tom Broecker (costume design), Peter Kaczorowski (lighting design), and Jill BC Du Boff (sound design).

The three Stockton sisters are witty, brilliant, beautiful -- and a total mess, thanks to the legacy of their complicated novelist father. In Melissa Ross' new play, these women gather at their family home on Cape Cod for a summer weekend. Their reunion ignites passions, humor, and wildly unanticipated upheavals. MTC's award-winning Artistic Director Lynne Meadow helms Of Good Stock, Ross' raw, poignant and hilarious look at the fun and dysfunction of that thing we call family.

Of Good Stock replaces the previously announced production of The Swing of the Sea in MTC's 2014-2015 season. At the request of playwright Richard Greenberg and director Lynne Meadow, MTC has agreed to postpone The Swing of the Sea in order to give these artists more time to work on the production of the play.

MTC subscribers with tickets for The Swing of the Sea will be contacted by MTC. Single ticket buyers for The Swing of the Sea can go to their original point of purchase to exchange for tickets to Of Good Stock beginning Monday, February 9.

Single tickets for Of Good Stock go on sale Monday, February 9 and will be available by calling CityTix at 212-581-1212, online by visiting www.nycitycenter.org, or by visiting New York City Center box office (131 West 55th Street). All tickets are $90.

Casting and additional listings information for the production will be announced in the coming weeks.
