Today, MSG Entertainment announced THE GREAT DINO ROAR! From May 10 through June 31, 2010, dinosaur enthusiasts are encouraged to visit GreatDinoRoar.com to upload their most ferocious and loudest dinosaur ‘roar' by phone, mobile, video, or webcam. Select roars collected by the site will win prizes such as Walking With Dinosaurs VIP tickets and backstage tours.
Once the ROAR-O-METER reaches maximum capacity, the Guinness Book of World Records will host an official live event at Madison Square Garden to judge the campaign's record-breaking "roar!" Special appearances by the cast of WALKING WITH DINOSAURS: The Arena Spectacular will also be on hand to celebrate the world-record before they perform on the arena floor at Madison Square Garden.
To ignite the launch of the Great Dino Roar event, MSG Entertainment and The Watsons have created a 100-ft tall "dinosaur-size" tower banner, prominently displayed outside Madison Square Garden (corner of 33rd Street and 7th Avenue), featuring the first-ever dinosaur Quick Response (QR) code. The QR code is a two-dimensional bar code that connects smart phone users to GreatDinoRoar.com.
