MOTHERHOOD THE MUSICAL Opens at Seymour Centre

By:

MOTHERHOOD THE MUSICAL is touring nationally to over 50 venues around Australia over 44 weeks. The show premiered in Melbourne in February, has toured to Tasmania, Perth & regional WA, Northern Territory, North Queensland and Brisbane and is currently in South Queensland before Northen NSW, Sydney, Regional Victoria and Adelaide.

Motherhood The Musical: The good, the bad and the laundry. From the Australian Producer of the smash-hit Menopause The Musical® comes an equally hilarious, musical journey about the lives and friendships of four very different mums sharing their insights into the challenges of motherhood. There's Barb, the over-worked, underpaid, stressed-out mother of five, Brooke a lawyer, who works too much and barely sees her kids, Trisha a single mum who's struggling to balance work, her family and her divorce and finally Amy, the naïve young woman about to have her first child.

Having received rave reviews in the USA in 2010 and recently during its Australian Premiere in Melbourne in February 2011, Motherhood The Musical is written by award-winning singer/songwriter Sue Fabisch, and features 20 sensational songs including her Top 10 Billboard Comedy Hit "The Kids Are Finally Asleep". You'll love this joyous musical journey as it takes a funny look at the blessings and the perils of being a Mum. This is all about laughing and crying, craziness and calm, smiles and tears, all wrapped up into 90 minutes of great musical entertainment. For everyone who is, has, or knows a Mum.

Produced by Christine Harris and HIT Productions, Australia's Premier Theatre Touring Company (David Williamson's The Club, Menopause The Musical® Australia) in association with GFOUR Productions, the show is directed by Terence O'Connell (Busting Out, Rocky Horror Picture Show) and features an exciting ensemble cast including Amelia Christo (Me and My Girl), Ziggy Clements (Mamma Mia), Jacqueline Hoy (Sweeney Todd) and in her professional touring debut, Rebecca Moore.
