MIDTWENTIES Premieres at Manhattan Theatre Source 3/1
MGC Productions, a new LGBT theatre company, has announced the cast for the premiere production of ‘Midtwenties' which will be directed by Broadway's Anthony Hollock (HAIR).
This new musical will run a limited engagement March 1 - 3 at Manhattan Theatre Source, 177 MacDougal Street. The show will feature the composer & lyricist, Elliot Roth (Our Sinatra), and lyricist, Jenn Lederer.
‘Midtwenties' describes press notes is the musical journey of two young twenty-somethings who are exploring their sexuality, relationships, and career obstacles.
Martin Gould Cummings, artistic director of MGC Productions explains, "Midtwenties really speaks to people who are coming to terms with who they are despite what society says they have to be".
MGC Productions is a fiscally sponsored theatre company in New York City. MGC Productions is bringing innovative LGBT theatre and music to audiences in a new and intimate way. Our goal is to spread the message of love, peace, and acceptance in the LGBT community through theatre and performance.
This is to be the New York debut of ‘Midtwenties'. The Broadway cast of ‘Hair' recently performed at a fundraiser for MGC Production in promotion of the show.
Anthony Hollock (Hair) will be making his NYC directing debut as well.
