MASQUE Theatre Company Comes To TheatreWorks 8/7-9
TheatreWorks is thrilled to welcome the MASQUE Theatre Company for a limited engagement on August 7th, 8th, and 9th.
The internationally-renowned mask/movement troupe from Bethlehem, Connecticut performs original theatre pieces with special emphasis on the mask and puppet. The company has performed on four continents for over a million people since 1980.
Considering the universal phenomenon of masks, original vignette style theatre is created which reflects the timeless capacity of this ancient art form.
Mask, mime, movement, music, speaking characters, and the "never-knowing- what-to-expect-next" anticipation makes these performances an experience you will talk about long after you leave the theatre.
Larry Hunt, the Artistic Director of the MASQUE Theatre Company will perform two pieces with his partner dancer/choreographer, Adelka Polak: This World, the Next, and Then the Peach Orchard and their newest installment entitled, Blues, Blues.
Performances are at 8:00pm on Friday and Saturday, August 7th and 8th, with a 2:00 pm matinee on Sunday, August 9th. Tickets are $20. No subscriptions or passes accepted for this special presentation.
