MASQUE THEATER ANIMAN....PLUS Comes To Ridgefield Barn Theatre 10/10
MASQUE THEATER ANIMAN....PLUS- 2nd in this season's series providing theater designed especially for young audiences
Performed by Larry Hunt and Adelka Polak.
The internationally-renowned mask/movement troupe from Bethlehem, CT performs original theater pieces with special emphasis on the mask and puppet. The company has performed on 4 continents for over a million people since 1980! Mask, mime, movement, music, speaking characters, and the "never-knowing- what-to-expect-next" anticipation makes these performances an experience you will talk about long after you leave the theater.
Animan...Plus is a masked performance which has something for everybody and possibly everything for somebody. You will see animals which are identifiable and some which are up to you, masks that change expressions but are only three inches in length. Masks, mime, music and metaphors galore combine with illusions which are literally inside out, upside down, and backwards. Most of the work is non-verbal which allows performances all over the world. If you think you have seen masks by looking at them in museums, think again. The "life" of the mask is witnessed only in a live performance.
