MARY POPPINS Enters Last Three Weeks At Cadillac Palace Theatre, Closes 7/12
By: BWW News Desk
Only three weeks remain to see MARY POPPINS before the beloved nanny packs up her carpet bag, opens up her umbrella and flies out of Chicago. Thousands of theater-goers in Chicago have enjoyed this magical Broadway hit, since the National Tour launched in Chicago on March 11, 2009. MARY POPPINS will play through July 12, 2009 only at the Cadillac Palace Theatre.
It is the perfect time to turn the Fourth of July into a "Jolly Holiday" as MARY POPPINS is giving Chicagoans and visitors a special offer of two tickets for $99 for the July 4 matinee and evening performance. Tickets are subject to availability. Restrictions and handling fees apply. Patrons must use the code JOLLY when ordering. MARY POPPINS features the two original Broadway stars, Ashley Brown as "Mary Poppins" and Gavin Lee as "Bert." A co-production by Disney and Cameron Mackintosh, this stage production is based on P.L. Travers' cherished stories and the classic 1964 Walt Disney film. The show includes the Academy Award®-winning music and lyrics of Richard M. Sherman and Robert B. Sherman. The stage production has been created, in collaboration with Cameron Mackintosh, by Academy Award®-winning screenwriter Julian Fellowes, who has written the book, and the Olivier Award-winning team of George Stiles and Anthony Drewe, who have composed new songs and additional music and lyrics.
