Charlie Hofheimer is set to join the cast of Nicky Silver's new comedy THE LYONS on Broadway at the Cort Theatre (138 W. 48 St.) starting tonight, June 12. Mr. Hofheimer assumes the role of Curtis Lyons, joining the cast of THE LYONS which stars 2012 Best Actress Tony nominee Linda Lavin, Dick Latessa, Kate Jennings Grant, Brenda Pressley and Gregory Wooddell.

Charlie Hofheimer is widely-known as Abe Drexler (boyfriend of the Elizabeth Moss character Peggy Olson) on AMC-TV's hit series “Mad Men.” He previously appeared on Broadway in ON THE WATERFRONT and at Lincoln Center in OLD MONEY—directed by Mark Brokaw. Other theater credits include MINOR DEMONS at Century Center, OPELIKA at Third Eye Rep and WITHOUT WALLS directed by Christopher Ashley at Williamstown Theatre Festival. Additional television credits include "The Good Wife”, Rizzoli & Isles", "Cold Case", "Numbers", “House”, "American Dreams", among others. Charlie's film roles include THE VILLAGE, BLACK HAWK DOWN, MUSIC OF THE HEART, FATHER'S DAY, LASSIE and the indie films: WOULD YOU RATHER, BLUR, KATE'S SMILE, and EDGE CITY.

Mr. Hofheimer takes over the role of Curtis from Michael Esper in THE LYONS.

Written by Nicky Silver and directed by Mark Brokaw, THE LYONS is produced on Broadway by Kathleen K. Johnson.

THE LYONS is a funny and edgy work starring Linda Lavin as Rita Lyons, the indomitable matriarch of a family at a major crossroads: her husband is dying, her son's in a dubious relationship, her daughter's struggling to stay sober and on top of it all, she can't settle on a new design for the living room.

THE LYONS opened to rave reviews on April 23rd: Elisabeth Vincentelli of the New York Post exclaimed, “It’s comedy nirvana!” and Mark Kennedy of the Associated Press said, “THE LYONS is a terrific gem. You can’t stop laughing.” Ben Brantley in The New York Times wrote, "Linda Lavin reigns supreme in THE LYONS."

THE LYONS will play the following revised schedule during the week including the July 4th holiday: added performance Monday, July 2 at 7 p.m.; Tuesday, July 3 at 7 p.m.; (no performances on July 4); Thursday, July 5 at 7 p.m.; added matinee on Friday, July 6 at 2 p.m.; Friday, July 6 at 8 p.m., Saturday, July 7 at 2 and 8 p.m. and Sunday, July 8 at 3 p.m.

THE LYONS regular performance schedule is Tuesdays at 7, Wednesdays at 2 and 8, Thursdays at 7, Fridays at 8, Saturdays at 2 and 8 and Sundays at 3.
