And certainly, when I speak Cassie's words, they echo through my own personal story with beautiful and frightening accuracy."
In 2009, Diaz won the Helen Hayes Award in Washington, D.C. for Outstanding Actress in the musical, Rooms. Her critically acclaimed performance as Anita in West Side Story has won her both a Chicago Joseph Jefferson Award and a 2006 Kevin Klein Award.
