Lynn University to Present

Cloris Leachman

At Wold Performing Arts Center - April 2-3

Lynn University and Jan McArt, Director of Theatre Arts Program Development, today announced an upcoming performance at the beautiful, new Keith C. and Elaine Johnson Wold Performing Arts Center:

April 2 - 7:30 p.m. (Saturday)
April 4 - 4:00 p.m. (Sunday)
Cloris Leachman

Making her first Florida appearance, the celebrated actress will take the audience on a hilarious and sometimes poignant journey through her spectacular career and life. An Academy Award winner for Best Supporting Actress (The Last Picture Show, 1971) and the only actor to ever win nine Emmy Awards, Cloris Leachman is now co-starring as the wacky grandmother Maw Maw in this season's funniest new TV series, Raising Helen on Fox. Her best selling autobiography, Cloris, is now available in paperback.

In her presentation at Lynn University, Ms. Leachman will share stories about her Broadway years, the triumph of The Mary Tyler Moore Show, her zany characters in the classic Mel Brooks films Young Frankenstein and High Anxiety, and her recent scene-stealing performances on Dancing With The Stars. The show, set in an imaginary living room, includes video clips, songs and more - and she'll even sit down at the piano to tackle Rhapsody in Blue and Chopin's Minute Waltz.

Replacing the previously announced Lesley Ann Warren, Ms. Leachman is being presented as part of the Libby Dodson's Live at Lynn Series, now in its seventh season at Lynn University, and is sponsored by Holli Rockwell.

Tickets are $45/mezzanine, $50/orchestra, and $65/box. They are available for purchase at the Lynn University Box Office, located in the Wold Performing Arts Center at 3601 N. Military Trail. Tickets also may be purchased online at http://our.lynn.edu/clorisleachman or by phone at 561.237.9000.
