Lyngo Brings Their Interactive Show Play For Children, To The Pleasance
Following its smash-hit Christmas run at the Lyric Hammersmith Snow Play comes to the Pleasance London in preparation for its residency at the Edinburgh Festival this summer.
Snow has a magical quality that enchants the child in all of us and in this production, devised and brought to you by Italian theatre company Lyngo, there is plenty of it. Directed by Marcello Chiarenza and ‘accompanied by Carlo Cialdo Capelli's gentle, melodious music' (The Stage) the audience are invited to interact with the performers and scenery alike.
Children are encouraged to get involved as much as they want and with a set full of snow the opportunities are ample, from making a giant snowman and having a super snowball fight to helping Mr Green reclaim his house from the snow and bring back spring. Whilst parents will be able to sympathise with Mr Green's plight the children will almost certainly side with the lazy but charismatic Mr White as he takes over Mr Green's home.
Both Carol Rossi and Patrick Lynch, who play the personifications of the opposing seasons, are experienced entertainers of children and bring their talents to bear on this captivating production.
‘The most vividly memorable thing about this show is the gales of infantile laughter every time the charismatic Carol Rossi lifts so much as an eyebrow. He has a remarkable gift for entertaining children.' (The Stage)‘Another fantastic show for very young ones, this is an utterly enchanting 30 minutes...children (and adults) will be captivated' (The Evening Standard, 9 Best Festive Family Shows in London) 21/12/10
