Load Of Fun Theater Presents HIRED GUN, 7/26-7/29

An aging rockabilly one-time star plots his comeback in an original work by Maryland playwright Mark Scharf (pictured below, left) in the Theatrical Mining Company's (TMC) presentation of "Hired Gun," part of the 2012 Baltimore Playwrights Festival. Scharf's plays have appeared across the USA and internationally, garnering numerous awards.

Thursday – Saturday, July 26 – 28 at 8:00 p.m.; Sunday, July 29 matinee at 2:00 p.m.

Baltimore, MD SYNOPSIS: Once there was the King, the Killer and the Fat Man of Rock n' Roll. But time has left the Fat Man forgotten in the Louisiana bayou. Jesse now has the fastest and cleanest hand in rock. Jesse's a hired gun; a studio musician who chooses his projects. Dewitt can see his way back to the top with Jesse playing for him, boyhood friend Red as his personal "Colonel," and sassy young wife Sherri by his side. Intrigued by the faded rockabilly star with the chutzpah to stage an Act II, Jesse travels to the bayou only to discover rock 'n roll never dies even when it should.
