The Christmas Variety Show A MOLLY JOLLY CHRISTMAS plays December 6 - 22 at The Laurie Beechman Theatre and features special guests Colton Ford, Michael Musto, *BOB*, Adam Sank, Shelly Mars, Athena Reich & Liza Minnelli.
Andrea Alton stars as Molly "Equality" Dykeman in A MOLLY JOLLY CHRISTMAS, which premieres in December at the Laurie Beechman Theatre. Molly “Equality” Dykeman is a barely lucid poet/security guard at PS 339 and a lovable train wreck who launched her career to critical acclaim in the 2011 New York International Fringe Festival. The production is directed by Mark Finley (The Secretaries, Penny Penniworth) with choreography by John Paolilo.
A MOLLY JOLLY CHRISTMAS is poet/security guard Molly "Equality" Dykeman's first Christmas variety show. Will she be able to muck her way through musical numbers, choreography, and a glittering array of guest stars in the Percocet-fogged haze that is her mind? Will she finally land the lady...or ladies... of her dreams?
Each evening features appearances by The Mollettes (Molly's backup dancer duo, comprised of Victoria Smalc & MeLiza Fernandez) and special guest stars. The guest lineup will include:
• December 6: Drae Campbell (Miss Lez 2010) & Adam Sank (comic).
• December 9: Athena Reich (Award winning Singer/Songwriter/Actress) & World Famous *BOB* (downtown icon).
• December 13: Shelly Mars (acclaimed performance artist), Colton Ford (Peace Bisquit/Woop Woop Music recording artist & actor), & Vicky Sin (burlesque star).
• December 22: Victoria Libertore (Actress & solo performer -- as Liza Minnelli) & Michael Musto (Village Voice columnist, author, and personality).
Andrea Alton last appeared as Molly “Equality” Dykeman in "The F*cking World According to Molly" in the New York International Fringe Festival and at Women's Week in Provincetown in October.
