The Foxwoods Theatre, currently home to Broadway's SPIDER-MAN Turn Off the Dark, has gone by many names over the past few years- originally changing from the Ford Center for the Performing Arts in 2005, and then from the Hilton Theatre in 2010. The venue is about to go through another change as Live Nation, the current owner, is 'close to a deal to sell,' according to the New York Post.

Bids for the theatre were submitted by Wicked and The Book of Mormon producer Jon B. Platt and Jujamcyn Theaters' Jordan Roth. Source revealed to NYP that talks are currently circling at the $45M mark for the 42nd Street theatre.

The Foxwoods Theatre accommodates nearly 2,000 theater-goers. Originally constructed in 1996 on the site of the legendary Apollo and Lyric Theatres, the venue combines architectural preservation with state-of-the-art construction and technology. The space pays homage to the spirit and character of New York's grandest historic theater - with sparkling chandeliers, a two-story rotunda ringed with columns, magnificent marble mosaics, and an elegant limestone staircase.
