Producers Janet B. Rosen and Christina Papagjika will present two invitation-only staged readings of the hit Off-Broadway musical In Transit on Friday, October 12, 2012. Tony Award-winner Christopher Gattelli (Newsies) will direct the reading of the musical that features book, music and lyrics by Kristen Anderson-Lopez, James-Allen Ford, Russell Kaplan and Sara Wordsworth.

In this fresh take on the modern musical, seven performers take on multiple roles and create every note with their own voices for a rich theatrical experience unlike anything you've seen (or heard) on stage before. Inspired by the rhythms and sounds of life on the subway, In Transit follows an aspiring actress, a fledgling financier, a street-savvy beatboxer, a cab driver, and others as they find their way in New York City. The result is a vivid tapestry of characters and music in the City that never stands still.

The seven-member presentation cast will include Adam Bashian as "Chris," Moya Campbell (Ghost) as "Ms. Williams," Ben Crawford (Shrek) as "Nate," Justin Keyes (How to Succeed…) as "Trent," Erin Mackey (Wicked) as "Ali," Lindsay Mendez (Dogfight) as "Jane" and Chesney Snow (In Transit) as "Boxman,"

In Transit was originally produced Off-Broadway in the fall of 2010 by Primary Stages at 59E59. The limited-run engagement began previews on September 21, 2010 and officially opened October 5, 2010 to positive reviews and was awarded the 2011 Drama Desk Award for "Outstanding Ensemble."
