Linda Lavin Replaces Sutton Foster on Feinstein's Line-Up

By:
Linda Lavin will take Sutton Foster's slot on the 2006 Feinstein's at the Regency (540 Park Avenue at 61st St.) line-up due to the latter actress' duties performing on Broadway in the upcoming The Drowsy Chaperone.

Lavin, herself a veteran of Broadway musicals, will perform at Feinstein's from March 7th through 11th in an act directed by Jim Caruso and featuring musical direction by Billy Stritch.

Lavin, who won a Tony Award for her work in Broadway Bound, first came to theatre prominence in the musical It's a Bird...It's a Plane...It's Superman (she had previously appeared in musicals such as On a Clear Day You Can See Forever). She received Tony Award nominations for her work in The Tale of the Allergist's Wife, The Diary of Anne Frank and Last of the Red Hot Lovers, and has also acted on Broadway in Hollywood Arms, The Sisters Rosensweig, Gypsy, Cop-Out, Something Different, A Family Affair and others. With many film and TV performances to her credit, she is best known to TV audiences for her work in "Alice."

This year, Feinstein's at the Regency will also play host to Tony Danza, Faith Prince and Tom Wopat, Kitty Carlisle Hart, Michael Feinstein, Linda Eder, Diahann Carroll, Rebecca Luker and James Naughton.

The performance schedule is Tuesday-Saturday evenings at 8:30 PM with an additional late show Saturday at 11 PM; there is a $60 cover charge for all shows. Call (212) 339-4095 or visit www.feinsteinsattheregency.com for reservations.
