Shortly before midnight on the east coast (and the middle of the night in the UK where Miranda is currently in production for Disney's Mary Poppins sequel) Lin-Manuel Miranda dropped two surprise tracks from the much anticipated, upcoming Hamilton Mixtape featuring covers of songs from the hit musical by contemporary artists.
Earlier in the day, BroadwayWorld had reported that Miranda had released a track listing for the mixtape. You can preview the two tracks below!
Kelly Clarkson's "It's Quiet Uptown":
As previously reported, "The Hamilton Mixtape" will feature a collection of remixes, covers, and tracks inspired by the multi-Tony Award winning Broadway musical. Among the artists to be featured on the recording are Sia, Usher, Chance the Rapper, Busta Rhymes, Ben Folds, Regina Spektor, and Queen Latifah. Atlantic Records will release the album.
