Lime Kiln Hosts A Harvest Dinner Dance 10/24 At Evans Dining Hall
Theater at Lime Kiln will hold its second fundraising dinner dance at Evans Dining Hall at 206 West Washington Street in Lexington on Saturday, October 24th from 6:30 to 10:30pm. This year the theme is "A Harvest Dance." A cash bar reception runs from 6:30 to 7:30, with dinner from 7:30 to 8:30 and dancing to follow.
"October is a great month for a dance," said Executive Director Kim Renz. "And thanks to State Farm Insurance of Lexington we are bringing an extremely talented big band to supply the music. The Charlotte Jazz Orchestra is comprised of 20 professional musicians from the Queen City, most of whom regularly sit in with touring artists who visit Charlotte, including the Woody Herman Band, Glenn Miller Orchestra and Count Basie. These guys are hot!"
Renz says Lime Kiln is building off the event last year. "Last year we celebrated the 60th anniversary of WREL with Just Jazzin' at the Horse Center mezzanine, and this time we looked for a little different event. We won't have a program, leaving more time for folks to dance."
"This is another great chance for our friends to have a good time while supporting the most beautiful outdoor performance venue in Virginia," concluded Renz.
Tickets are available by calling the Lime Kiln office at 540-463-7088.
$55 for one: $100 for a couple; $500 for a sponsor's table.
