Leslie Jordan to Bring FRUIT FLY to Lannie's Clocktower Cabaret, 6/7-9
Emmy Award winning actor Leslie Jordan stars in his one man comedy, FRUIT FLY - Do Gay Men Really Become Their Mothers?, at Lannie's Clocktower Cabaret on Friday, June 7th and Saturday, June 8th at 8 p.m., and Sunday, June 9th at 7:30 p.m.
Jordan is probably best known for his television appearances on such comedy series as "Will and Grace" (2006 Emmy for Outstanding Guest Actor as the character of Beverley Leslie), "Boston Legal," "Ugly Betty," "Reba," and "Desperate Housewives." Audiences may also recognize Leslie from his movie roles in such films as, "Sordid Lives" starring Olivia Newton-John and Beau Bridges and most recently, the Academy Award winning movie, "The Help."Mr. Jordan travels back in time in FRUIT FLY, sharing childhood recollections including some perilous teenage shenanigans. The show traverses Leslie's life from the day his teenage self sits down with his mother to inform her that he has decided to forego college to become a female impersonator, all the way to a gay Alaskan cruise with 2,000 gay men on which a 53 year old Leslie witnesses his aging mother's metamorphosis. Jordan's storytelling skills and wit abound in this one man comedy.
