Lauren Elder, Bobby Cronin Set for Suicide Prevention Walk

HAIR's Lauren Elder will perform in the opening ceremony of the Out of the Darkness Community Walk for AFSP, with MARVELOUS WONDERETTE's Tricia Tanguy and Bobby Cronin on backup vocals, singing an original song by Bobby Cronin.

The Out of the Darkness Community Walks are 3-5 mile walks taking place in over 200 communities across the country this year, with the proceeds benefiting the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP). By walking in the Out of the Darkness Community Walks, you will be walking with thousands of other walkers nationwide to raise money for AFSP's vital research and education programs to prevent suicide and save lives, increase national awareness about depression and suicide and provide support for survivors of suicide loss. In deciding to walk you are taking us a step closer to making suicide prevention a national priority.

Lauren Elder was an original tribe member of the Tony Award Winning revival of HAIR on Broadway, as well as on the West End. Aside from being a Broadway performer, Lauren is a singer/songwriter.

Tricia Tanguy was in the Off-Broadway hit MARVELOUS WONDERETTES. She recently directed a hit run of the show at the Merry-Go-Round Playhouse. She was in the tours of CATS, THE PRODUCERS, and JOSEPH.

Bobby Cronin is the award-winning composer/lyricist of the Broadway-bound W2ML (Welcome to My Life), with co-bookwriter Alicia Dempster; DAYBREAK, which will open in the UK in March 2012; 'TIL DEATH DO US PART with bookwriter Allen Mogol. www.bobbycronin.com
