The Tony-nominated stars of the Broadway musical Rodgers + Hammerstein's CINDERELLA -- Laura Osnes (Cinderella) and Santino Fontana (the Prince) --will host the 5th Annual National High School Musical Theater Awards (NHSMTA) on Monday, July 1 at the Minskoff Theater on Broadway. Each year more than 50,000 high school students participate in musical theater competitions sponsored by professional theater organizations in cities across America. The National High School Musical Theater Awards was founded in 2009 by the Pittsburgh CLO and Nederlander Alliances to create "a connection between the talented students in the amateur arena of high school musicals and the professional theater world," says Pittsburgh CLO Executive Producer and NHSMTA President Van Kaplan.

Laura Osnes has been nominated for the 2013 Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical for performance in the title role of CINDERELLA, having already won the 2013 Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Actress in a Musical.
