Larry Cahn, Glory Crampton, Omar Lopez-Cepero et al. Set for FOREVERMAN at NYMF, 7/20

The new musical Foreverman, with book, music, and lyrics by Brett M. Boles, will be presented as an official selection of the New York Musical Theatre Festival's (NYMF's) 2012 Next Link Project, beginning performances Friday, July 20 and running through Sunday, July 28, at the PTC Performance Space, 555 West 42 Street (between Tenth and Eleventh Avenues).

What if you could live forever? On New Year's Eve, 1675, Will and Jack make a remarkable discovery – an elixir that will grant them eternal life. But when both men fall in love with Fiona, a young woman with a dark and painful secret, they learn that immortality may not be the gift they had imagined. In Foreverman friendship turns to rivalry and love turns to betrayal, setting the stage for a tumultuous journey through the ages.

The cast of Foreverman is Larry Cahn (Hawkins), Nat Chandler (Lord Fairwright), Glory Crampton (Anna Fairwright), Karen Elliott (Mrs. Morgan), Omar Lopez-Cepero (Will Timeson), Kelly McCormick (Fiona Fairwright), and Adam Monley (Jack Mercer).

The scenic design for Foreverman is by John McDermott; costume design is by Barry Doss and Anne Liberman; lighting design is by Susan Nicholson; projection design is by Mark Costello; sound consultant is Bridget O'Connor. The music director is Natalie Tenenbaum; music supervisor is Stephen Ferri; orchestrations are by Stephen Ferri, Andrew Fox, and Adam Kaufman. The consulting producer is Michael Roderick.

Brett M. Boles (Composer/Lyricist/Librettist) graduated from Ithaca College in 2007 with a degree in Music Composition. His musical adaptation of The Count of Monte Cristo was presented as the last musical of the Mainstage season at IC, something that had never been done before. Brett has written three musicals: Austin's Bridge (Music by Brett M. Boles, Book and Lyrics by Bill C. Davis), Foreverman (Book, Music and Lyrics by Brett M. Boles), and The Count of Monte Cristo (Book, Music and Lyrics by Brett M. Boles). He has had workshops of his pieces at The Firehouse Theater Project in Richmond, VA; Sharon Playhouse in Sharon, CT; Sage Theater in Times Square; Ground Up Productions in NYC (with Kristy Cates). Foreverman has had a demo recording and a table read featuring Josh Young, Janine DiVita, Karen Elliott, and Alan H. Green. Brett is a member of the BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theater Workshop and a presenting member of the Advanced Writer's Lab at the New Opera and Musical Theater Initiative (NOMTI) in Boston.

Stephen Nachamie (Director) is an award-winning New York based director. A New York native, Stephen began working in NY theatre as a production assistant on such Off-Broadway shows as Little Shop of Horrors, Blues in the Night and Starmites. Studying at NYU- Circle in the Square and Musical Theatre Works he has been at home in both the worlds of plays and musicals- as well as spent most of that time developing new works in NY. As an actor he toured the US as Paul in A Chorus Line and the world with West Side Story and Evita. He has developed new works with BMI, NAMT, NYMF, The York Theatre, Emerging Artists Theatre, Musical Theatre Works. Winner of the NC Triangle award in 2003 for West Side Story and the 2004 NH Spotlight Award for Best Musical Production -Chicago. He is a masterclass teacher and Guest Artist for the Signature Theatre, VA Professional Performing Arts School and AMDA.
