Lampkin Music Group To Present Cheryl Szucsits in As Long As I Can Sing

Lampkin-Music-Group-To-Present-Cheryl-Szucsits-in-As-Long-As-I-Can-Sing-20010101

Lampkin Music Group is set to present Cheryl Szucsits in "As Long As I Can Sing" on Saturday, November 19th at 8: 00 pm. at Cab Room at Stage 773. Part of the new Intimate Saturday Night Series.

Musical Director: Robert Ollis
Special Guest: singer Randy Kelly

This new show will feature songs from the theater and pop/spiritual worlds.
Selections include: "Now", "People that You Never Get to Love", "Smile" and the
title song, "As Long As I Can Sing".

Cheryl is a singer /actress who has appeared in many musicals, plays and cabaret arenas, they include: Tony and Tina's Wedding, The Secret Garden; performed at Drury Lane at Water Tower, Davenport's, to name a few.

Cheryl's thoughts on "As Long As I Can Sing" -- a show about how the gift of singing and music are not only my joy and passion, but also very often a lifeline in times of difficulty. I feel that through music I will always be
able to find my joy no matter what sadness or hardship I may be experiencing and I believe this holds true for most everyone. There always seems to be an appropriate song for practically any situation and they provide the words when I
have none. They make us laugh. They make us cry. They speak of happiness, they speak of frustration, they speak of love... and they speak of grief, sharing our pain and ultimately helping us find our way out of those moments of darkness and back to our joy.

Randy Kelly is a South Bend native with many performing credits to his name. From his critically acclaimed Harold Arlen Centennial show (produced by LMG) to performances at the South Bend Museum of Art, Trio's and Palias Royale; Kelly's voice is a smooth baritone instrument in the tradition of Sinatra and Billy Esktine. LMG is pleased that he's guesting on this special show with his dear friend, Cheryl.

Robert Ollis (Music Director) has most recently been orchestrating and playing keyboard for the heartwarming musical "Violet". Robert Is one of the founding collective members of Bailiwick Chicago, where he served as Co-Music Director of Elton John's "AIDA" last year. Other credits include: Music Director for Victory Gardens Theatre's"Thoroughly Modern Millie", "Anything Goes" and"Mame"; "My Favorite Year", "The Cousins Grimm", The Who's "Tommy", Bailiwick Chicago's "Show Us Your Love" and Dennis DeYoung's "The Hunchback of Notre Dame", "Parade", "The Christmas Schooner", "Bare: a Pop Opera" and "A Kiss from Alexander". On the cabaret scene, Robert has accompanied /music directed for Alexandra Billings at Feinstein's in NYC and cabaret icon Andrea Marcovicci, Danni Smith, Alanda Coon, the late David Gurland and Jeff winner Jeremy Rill. Robert has played in the pit for productions of "Bombs Away", "First Lady Suite" and "Patience and Sarah". Robert also received a non-equity Jeff Award for Best musical direction of "Kiss of the Spider Woman" , while als receiving a nomination for "A Man of No Importance".

Lampkin Music Group has presented concerts/cabarets cross country featuring some of the best in the business: Tony winners Donna McKechnie, Alice Ripley and Hinton Battle, Broadway personality Devin Richards, Alexandra Billings, Audrey Morris, Karen Mason, Suzanne Palmer, Linda Clifford, Spider Saloff and Billy Stritch, to name a few.

Tickets are $20.00. Available at www.stage773.com online or by calling 1-773-327-5252.
