LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS Plays StarStruck Theatre, Now thru 10/21

StarStruck Theatre in Stuart raises the curtain on its 2012-2013 Professional Series with the musical LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS tonight, October 18 – 21.The cast includes Broadway performer and StarStruck Alum Alicia Tomasko as the eternally naive Audrey, 2011 BroadwayWorld Award winning performer Josh Rhett Noble as the pain loving dentist Orin, StarStruck's very own Peter Jones as the hilarious voice of the deadly plant, Audrey II, and Award-Winning New York journalist/performer Matt McClure as lovable florist hero, Seymour. "I am beyond thrilled to be coming home to perform on the professional stage at StarStruck!" Tomasko said. "My time spent as a student at StarStruck was so vital to my success. There aren't many places that can compare to the professionalism and quality demonstrated by both the student productions and professional productions at StarStruck. One of the longest-running Off-Broadway shows of all time, LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS by composer Alan Menken and writer Howard Ashman (the duo that redefined the animated musical film genre with Disney's "The Little Mermaid", "Beauty And The Beast" and more), is a rock musical about a hapless florist shop worker who raises a plant that feeds on human blood. The music, composed by Menken in the style of early 1960s rock and roll, doo-wop and early Motown, includes several show-stoppers including "Skid Row (Downtown)", "Somewhere That's Green", and "Suddenly, Seymour", as well as the title song. Directed and Choreographed by Josh Rhett Noble. Musical direction by Peter Jones.
