A more complete recording of the score as represented in the hit film adaptation of the international stage sensation LES MISERABLES will be released on March 18 according to a new listing on Amazon UK.

The previous highlights soundtrack album featured only the major songs from Claude-Michel Schonberg, Alain Boublil and Herbert Kretzmer's score and omitted a vast majority of the recitative and smaller moments many fans of the expansive and epic score treasure most.

A full tracklisting has not yet been released, but given the fact it will be a 2 CD set, it is safe to assume it will contain the majority of the musical material in the 150+ minute, sung-through film.

Lead producer Cameron Mackintosh was quoted by the BBC as stating: "Post-production on the Les Miserables film was extremely tight, with recording of the orchestra, final edit and sound mix having to be completed in only a few weeks. There was only enough time to remix a limited number of tracks so that at least a highlights album could be released for the fans before Christmas. We are delighted with the success of that album and very pleased that we can now add 22 more tracks."

He continued, "The new record's release [means] that audiences can now enjoy at home a full representation of the film's powerful and emotional version of this great score."
