LES MIS' Eddie Redmayne to Play Stephen Hawking in THEORY OF EVERYTHING?

According to Deadline.com, Les Miserables' Eddie Redmayne is under consideration for the role of Stephen Hawking in THEORY OF EVERYTHING, directed by James Marsh for Working Title.

The film will follow renowned theoretical physicist and author Hawking's relationship with his wife. The movie is aiming to begin production early this fall.

Redmayne has also been approached to star alongside Carey Mulligan in Far From The Madding Crowd. He will next be seen in Jupiter Ascending.

Past film credits include My Week with Marilyn, Hick, Black Death, Glorious 39, Powder Blue, The Other Boleyn Girl, The Yellow Hankerchief, Elizabeth: The Golden Age, The Good Shepherd, and more. He has also appeared on television in The Pillars of the Earth and Tess of the D'Urbervilles.

Redmayne, who last starred as Marius in Tom Hooper's film adaptation of the musical Les Miserables, won a Tony Award for RED on Broadway in 2010.
