LCT3's 2012-2013 season gets underway this Sunday, October 7 when Disgraced, a new play by Ayad Akhtar, directed by Kimberly Senior, begins performances. Disgraced opens Monday, October 22 and runs through Sunday, November 18 at the Claire Tow Theater.

LUCK OF THE IRISH

When an upwardly mobile African-American couple wants to buy a home in an all-white neighborhood of 1950's Boston, they pay a struggling Irish family to "ghost-buy" a house on their behalf. Fifty years later, the Irish family wants "their" house back. Moving across two eras, Luck of the Irish, explores racial and social issues and the universal longing for home.

Luck of the Irish will have sets by Mimi Lien, costumes by Oana Botez, lighting by Justin Townsend and sound by Matt Tierney. Casting will be announced at a later date.

Kirsten Greenidge is the author of Bossa Nova, Milk Like Sugar, Rust, The Curious Walk of the Salamander, Sans-Culottes in the Promised Land, 103 Within the Veil, and The Gibson Girl. She has developed her work at Sundance (Utah and Ucross), Magic Theatre, National New Play Network, Cardinal Stage, South Coast Repertory, Madison Rep, Page 73, Hourglass Group, Bay Area Playwrights, Playwrights Horizons, New Dramatists, Mark Taper Forum, A.S.K., Eugene O'Neill Theater Center, Guthrie Theater, Mixed Blood, McCarter Theatre, Humana Festival of New American Plays, Moxie Theatre, and New Georges.

Rebecca Taichman's credits include: Off-Broadway: Sarah Ruhl's Orlando (Classic Stage Company); Theresa Rebeck's The Scene, starring Tony Shalhoub and Patricia Heaton (Second Stage); Menopausal Gentleman (Obie Award). Regional: Twelfth Night, The Taming of the Shrew (The Shakespeare Theatre); premiere of David Adjmi's The Evildoers (Yale Rep; Sundance Theater Lab); premiere of Sarah Ruhl's Dead Man's Cell Phone (Woolly Mammoth, Helen Hayes nomination); premiere of Theresa Rebeck's Mauritius (The Huntington, IRNE and Elliot Norton Awards); premiere of The Scene (Humana); Sarah Ruhl's The Clean House (Woolly Mammoth, 2006 Helen Hayes Award for Outstanding Resident Play); Elise Thoron's Green Violin, starring Raul Esparza (2003 Barrymore for Outstanding Direction), among others.
