It is with great pride that The Laurie Beechman Theatre announces our summer series, SONDHEIM UNPLUGGED, taking place at the midtown venue on Mondays in July - the 5th, 12th, 19th & 26th @ 7pm. Featuring an array of Broadway and Cabaret's most dynamic performers, Sondheim Unplugged celebrates the work of Broadway's most beloved and prolific composer, accompanied by piano only.
There is $20 cover charge, as well as a $15 food or beverage minimum (a full dinner menu is available). The Laurie Beechman Theatre is located within The West Bank Cafe at 407 West 42nd St. (@ 9th Ave), in the heart of New York's theatre district. At each performance, we're very pleased to include guest appearances by performers who created roles in original Sondheim musicals: Sarah Rice (Sweeney Todd's original Johanna) on 7/5, Danielle Ferland (Into the Woods' original Little Red Riding Hood and Sunday in the Park with George's original Louise) on 7/12, Pamela Myers (Company's original Marta) on 7/19 and Annie Golden (Assassins original Lynette "Squeaky" Fromme) on 7/26.
