LAByrinth's Jack Goes Boating Opens Sunday 3/18

LAByrinth Theater Company's (Co-Artistic Directors Philip Seymour Hoffman and John Ortiz and Executive Director Steve Asher) world premiere production of JACK GOES BOATING, a new play by Bob Glaudini, will open officially this Sunday, March 18th at Martinson Hall at the Public Theater (425 Lafayette Street).  

It was recently announced that the show will extend by popular demand through Sunday, April 29th.  The production was originally scheduled to play through April 8th.

Laced with cooking classes, swimming lessons and a smorgasbord of illegal drugs, JACK GOES BOATING is a story of date panic, marital meltdown, betrayal and the prevailing grace of the human spirit.

Recent Callaway Award Winner Peter Dubois directs co-artistic directors Philip Seymour Hoffman and John Ortiz alongside Daphne Rubin-Vega and Beth Cole.

The performance schedule for JACK GOES BOATING is as follows: Tuesday at 7pm, Wednesday – Saturday at 8pm, Saturday and Sunday at 2pm and Sunday at 7pm.  There are three ways to get tickets for JACK GOES BOATING: by calling 212-967-7555 (10am – 9pm), online at www.labtheater.org or by visiting the Public Theater Box Office (425 Lafayette Street, Sun-Mon 1-6pm; Tues-Sat 1-7:30pm).  Tickets are $65.

A limited amount of $20 rush tickets will be held for each performance and will be released 1 hour before curtain. Cash only. Limit 2 per person.

Students can buy available tickets for $25 in person at the box office only.  With a valid student id, you will be entitled to buy one student-priced ticket. Student tickets can be purchased in advance.

What's the difference between an overweight marketing executive who sells women's lingerie and diet pills and the starving spokesmodel who peddles the goods for the camera? About 100 pounds. This is the premise behind PRETTY CHIN UP, a new play by Andrea Ciannavei, which was presented as part of LAB's 2005-2006 Barn Series. Performances are May 15th – June 2nd ; Tuesday at 7pm, Wednesday – Saturday at 8pm.  All performances will take place at the Public Theater (425 Lafayette Street).  Tickets will go on sale on Friday, April 6th and will be available by visiting www.labtheater.org
