Kritzer, Risch & Ashford to Star in Barrington's GUYS AND DOLLS

BroadwayWorld has learned that Leslie Kritzer, Annaleigh Ashford and Mathew Risch will lead a production of Guys and Dolls at Barrington Stage in Pittsfield as Miss Adelaide, Sarah Brown, and Sky Masterson, respectively. Rehearsals will begin on May 24, 2011, with an opening night of June 15, 2011.  The production is announced to run through July 16, 2011. John Rando will direct.

Artistic Director of Barrington Stage is Julianne Boyd Director. The production will feature a creative team that includes  Darren Cohen as musical director and Joshua Bergasse as choreographer.  Guys and Dolls was written by Abe Burrows & Jo Swerling, with music & Lyrics by Frank Loesser.  The show is based on a story and characters by Damon Runyon.

The production is currenly seeking a Nathan Detroit, described in a casting notice from McCorkle Casting as "Male, 32-45. Lovable/charming yet feckless gambler. The main entrepreneur in town, trying to arrange a big crap game. Loves Adelaide-his fiancée for 14 years who disapproves of the gambling- and finds himself financially strapped. Excellent comic timing. Vocal Range: D - High F (Baritone)."
