Kristin Chenoweth Hospitalized with 'Minor Injuries' After Accident on THE GOOD WIFE Set

According to TMZ, Kristin Chenoweth has been hospitalized after an accident on the set of The Good Wife. A CBS source told TMZ Chenoweth was struck by a piece of lighting equipment, fell to the ground and struck her head.

After being taken to a nearby hospital around 5 p.m., a representative from the New York Fire Department stated Chenoweth was being treated for "minor injuries."

Chenoweth is set to make her debut on CBS' The Good Wife in September's season premiere, matching wits with both Alicia and Peter in her role as a top-of-her-game political reporter who wants to know more about the Florrick campaign and marriage.

Kristin Chenoweth received an Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for her role in the series "Pushing Daisies," and has appeared in the comedy "Glee" for which she received two Emmy nominations for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series. Recently, she starred in the series "GCB." Currently, Chenoweth is on a North American tour, performing songs from her latest album "Some Lessons Learned," as well as an array of her most memorable songs and Broadway show tunes, including music from "Wicked," "Promises Promises" and "Glee."

On Broadway, Chenoweth has appeared in Steel Pier, You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, Epic Proportions, Funny Girl, Wicked, The Apple Tree, Promises, Promises, and On the Twentieth Century. Her Off-Broadway credits include The Fantasticks, Box Office of the Damned, Scapin, Strike Up the Band, A New Brain, On a Clear Day You Can See Forever, Candide, The Apple Tree, Stairway to Paradise, Love, Loss and What I Wore and many more.

THE GOOD WIFE television drama stars Emmy Award and Golden Globe Award winner Julianna Margulies. In addition to receiving nine 2011 Primetime Emmy nominations, the most for a broadcast network series, the drama has won or been nominated for multiple awards, including the Peabody Awards, the Golden Globe Awards, the Screen Actors Guild Awards and the People's Choice Awards.
