Kevin Spacey to Appear on THEATER TALK, 2/3

Kevin-Spacey-to-Appear-on-THEATER-TALK-23-20010101

Kevin Spacey, currently starring in The Bridge Project’s Richard III at BAM, will be a guest on “Theater Talk” on  Friday February 3 at 1 AM on Channel 13 in New York.  “Theater Talk” subsequently airs on  CUNY TV on Saturday February 4 at 8:30 PM; Sunday February 5 at 12:30 PM; and Monday  February 6 at 7:30 AM, 1:30 PM, and 7:30 PM.  “Theater Talk” is hosted by The New York Post’s Michael Riedel and Susan Haskins.

For information on syndication in others cities, please visit http://www.theatertalk.org/syndication.php.

The final season of The Bridge Project is running at BAM through March 4. Tickets are on sale through the BAM box office and at www.BAM.org.

The Bridge Project is a unique three-year series of co-productions by BAM, The Old Vic, and Neal Street, devoted to producing large-scale, classical theater for international audiences with casts featuring actors from both the US and the UK. The Bridge Project is again directed by Academy Award winner Sam Mendes, with whom Kevin Spacey worked on the film American Beauty, for which they both won BAFTA and Academy Awards.

Richard III opened at The Old Vic in London in June 2011 and subsequently embarked on an international tour that included Epidaurus, Greece; Hong Kong; Aviles, Spain; Istanbul; Naples; San Francisco; Beijing; Singapore; Sydney; and Doha.

Led by Kevin Spacey in the role of Richard III, the company features another formidable British/American cast that includes Maureen Anderman as the Duchess of York; Haydn Gwynne as Queen Elizabeth; Chuk Iwuji as Buckingham; Gemma Jones as Queen Margaret; and Chandler Williams as George, Duke of Clarence. The complete Acting Company is Stephen Lee Anderson, Jeremy Bobb, Nathan Darrow, Jack Ellis, Isaiah Johnson, Andrew Long, Katherine Manners, Howard Overshown, Simon Lee Phillips , Gary Powell, Michael Rudko, Annabel Scholey, Gavin Stenhouse, and Hannah Stokely.

The American cast members are appearing with the permission of UK Equity and the British cast members are appearing with the permission of Actors’ Equity Association, incorporating Variety Artists’ Federation, pursuant to an exchange program between UK Equity and American Equity. The producers gratefully acknowledge UK Equity and Actors’ Equity Association for their assistance of this production.

Kevin Spacey has appeared in The Old Vic Productions Speed-the-Plow with Jeff Goldblum, National Anthems, The Philadelphia Story, and A Moon for the Misbegotten (which subsequently transferred to Broadway), as well as in Trevor Nunn’s productions of Inherit the Wind and Richard II. Previous theater includes The Iceman Cometh (Evening Standard and Olivier Awards for Best Actor and a Tony Award nomination) directed by Howard Davies (Almeida, The Old Vic, and Broadway); Lost in Yonkers (Tony Award for Best Supporting Actor); and  Long Day’s Journey into Night, with Jack Lemmon, directed by Jonathan Miller (Broadway and West End). He directed The Old Vic’s inaugural production of Cloaca as well as Complicit, starring Richard Dreyfuss.
