Kennedy Center Looks for New CEO; Michael Kaiser to Depart in 2014
According to Variety, The Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. is searching for a new CEO. Current leader Michael Kaiser has served in the role for 12 years and ends his contract in December 2014.
"The Kennedy Center president is the only job in the world that is responsible for a major opera company, two orchestras and a ballet company as well as extensive theater, dance, and jazz seasons," Kennedy Center chairman David M. Rubenstein said.

Rubenstein will co-chair the search with board member Anthony Welters. Now that the announcement has been made, interested individuals are welcome to contact the Center.
In 2010, Kaiser stated he would not renew his contract as CEO but would stay on through 2017 with the center's DeVos Institute for Arts Management.
In the past 10 or so years, the Kennedy Center has produced Titanic, Footloose, The Music Man, Ragtime, Master Class and 2011's major revival of Follies on Broadway, among many other acclaimed projects and productions.
