The hotly anticipated stage-to-screen adaptation of the cult musical THE LAST FIVE YEARS is currently filming and stars Anna Kendrick and Jeremy Jordan were spotted filming the pivotal wedding scene in NYC this week.

Donning dashing duds, both Kendrick and Jordan effortlessly express the romantic sentiment of the emotional moment while taking their marital vows - subsequently sealing it with a passionate kiss.

Also, later on, Kendrick is caught checking her cell phone in between takes, sharing a private moment with Jordan.

The languid and lilting "The Next Ten Minutes" acts as the main duet in the two-hander, and, at this point, it is now relatively safe to assume that this sequence filmed today could very well figure into that musical number in the finished film.

THE LAST FIVE YEARS is based on Jason Robert Brown's Off-Broadway cult musical and is directed for the screen by Richard LaGravenese. The musical traces the beginning and end of the relationship between writer Jamie (Jordan) and actress Cathy (Kendrick) from alternating perspectives in a unique and arresting manner, highlighted by Brown's lyrical, pop-flecked score.

Last month, THE LAST FIVE YEARS stars Jordan and Kendrick took to Twitter, along with the musical's Tony Award-winning composer/lyricist, Brown, to comment on the recent commencement of filming and more, available here.

No release date has yet been set for the highly anticipated big screen tuner, but the film is assumedly likely to be completed in time for awards consideration at the end of the year.
