Beginning performances Thursday, January 14, Katie Rose Clarke will assume the role of Glinda in the Broadway production of WICKED. Also beginning performances on January 14 is Jenny Fellner, who will play the role of Nessarose. They join a cast which includes Dee Roscioli as Elphaba, Tony Award-winner Rondi Reed as Madame Morrible, P.J. Benjamin as The Wizard, Kevin Kern as Fiyero, Alex Brightman as Boq and Timothy Britten Parker as Dr. Dillamond. Through January 10, Erin Mackey will perform the role of Glinda and Michelle Federer will perform the role of Nessarose.
Katie Rose Clarke played Glinda in the First National Tour of WICKED for nearly two years. Under the direction of
Bartlett Sher, she portrayed the role of Clara Johnson in the Broadway production, live PBS broadcast, and First National Touring Company of The Light in the Piazza, as well as the
Long Wharf Theatre's production of
Craig Lucas' Prayer for My Enemy as Marianne. Other regional credits include TUTS Houston Anything Goes (chorus). She received her BFA from Sam Houston State University.
