Kansas City Rep's A CHRISTMAS STORY: THE MUSICAL! Begins Rehearsals Tomorrow, 10/27

Rehearsals begin tomorrow, October 27, for Kansas City Repertory Theatre's highly anticipated world premiere of A Christmas Story, The Musical! 
 
The Rep's artistic director Eric Rosen will direct the cast of 20 actors (including eight children).  Principals of the show include veteran Broadway actors.  James Judy (The Scarlet Pimpernel) plays the story's originator and its narrator Jean Shepherd.  Ralphie is portrayed by Zachary Carter Sayle, fresh from the Broadway national tour of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang!.  His parents, referred to as "The Old Man" and "Mother", are played by John Bolton (Curtains, Spamalot) and Anne L. Nathan (Sunday in the Park with George, Thoroughly Modern Millie).  Ralphie's younger brother Randy will be played by Jake Siegfried.
 
The full cast of A Christmas Story, The Musical! includes Becky Barta (Miss Shields), John Bolton (The Old Man), Aaron Conley (Flick), Troy Doherty (Scut Farcus), Patrick DuLaney (Chorus), Karen Errington (Chorus), Seth Golay (Chorus), Jennie Greenberry (Chorus), Dakota Hoar (Schwartz), James Judy (Jean/Ralph as narrator), Katie Kalahurka (Chorus), Katherine McNamara (Girl), Orville Mendoza (Chorus), Alan Mingo, Jr. (Chorus), Anne L. Nathan (Mother), Kip Niven (Chorus), Zachary Rand (Grover Dill), Zachary Carter Sayle (Ralphie), Vanessa Severo (Chorus) and Jake Siegfried (Randy).

A Christmas Story, The Musical! runs November 20 through December 27 at Spencer Theatre in the James C. Olson Performing Arts Center on the campus of the University of Missouri-Kansas City.  Tickets prices are $15-$60 and are available to purchase by calling the box office, 816-235-2700, or by visiting www.kcrep.org.
