Just The Funny's Improv Summer Camp For Kids

Just The Funny offers Improv Summer Camp for Kids 7 – 12 Years Old

Miami's Home for Improv and Sketch Comedy is offering South Florida's first ever Improv Summer Camp (for children ages 7-12,) where kids will learn the art of imporovisational comedy from some of Miami's best performers and instructors; culminating with an  end of camp performance for family and friends.  The camp will take place from Monday, August 4 through Friday, August 8; at the Just The Funny Theater & Training Center at 3119 Coral Way in Miami. 

The Improv Summer Camp will feature kids having fun and increasing their confidence while learning fundamental acting skills that include: movement and voice, improvisation and storytelling.  At the end of the week-long session, family and friends are treated to a graduation performance starring the campers.  All campers will receive certificates of completion for each session.

Increasing this unique experience, the Improv Summer Camp takes place at the new Just The Funny Theater & Training Center, where children will learn improvisation on-stage with professional lighting and sound, while creating fun characters with silly costumes and props.

Just The Funny Educational Director, David Christopher explains, "As a parent, I am always looking for a great experience for my child, and when our improvisers designed the programming for the camp I knew that it would be a hit with kids.  I wish there was a camp like this when I was a kid, where you can explore your imagination and pretend that you are anyone and anywhere with other kids!" 

The price for the Improv Summer Camp is $200 per child for the week-long camp, and spots can be purchased at www.justthefunny.com or at the theater box office.  Again, the camp runs from Monday, August 4 through Friday, August 8; from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
