John Tartaglia & Leslie Jordan Join 'Broadway Bares' 4/11

Broadway Cares/ Equity Fights AIDS and Jerry Mitchell present the latest edition of BROADWAY BARES: SOLO STRIPS, the return of the sexy new event featuring original strips from the hottest men and women currently on and off Broadway, on April 11 at Splash.  The theme for this latest installment is "AROUND THE WORLD." There will be two performances at 8 PM and 10 PM.

Following the success of the first SOLO STRIPS this past January (to see video from January's SOLO STRIPS, CLICK HERE), BC/EFA and Jerry Mitchell are pleased to announce the second edition of which will be directed by longtime BARES favorite Rachelle Rak (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels) and will feature guest vocalist Marty Thomas (Xanadu).

This edition of SOLO STRIPS will feature theatre's hottest men and women. Dancers scheduled to appear include: Dave August (Naked Boys Singing), Kristine Bendul (Come Fly Away), Ward Billeisen (Curtains), Bree Branker (Monty Python's Spamalot National Tour), James Brown III (The Color Purple), Buddy Casimano (Miss Saigon), Emily Loftiss (Jerry Mitchell's Peep Show), Kristin Piroette Saturday Night Fever National Tour), Angie Schworer (Young Frankenstein), Joe Simeone (The Phantom of the Opera) and Mark Stuart (Chance and Chemistry). To see photos of the dancers, visit http://broadwaybares.com/solostrip.html.

BROADWAY BARES: SOLO STRIPS "AROUND THE WORLD" will give adventuresome New Yorkers a taste of the international buffet Broadway has to offer. Whether it be spicy boys, exotic girls, or steamy dances, "AROUND THE WORLD" will arouse everyone's taste for Broadway's hottest bodies.

BROADWAY BARES executive producer Jerry Mitchell said in a statement, "After the success of the first SOLO STRIPS, we knew we had to get back to Splash for a second edition. And just like the second edition of BROADWAY BARES in 1993, I knew we had to invite some of the sexy ladies of Broadway to help us out. I can't wait to see what my good friend Rachelle Rak brings to the stage on April 11 and after my long stay in London, I'm fully expecting to see every single one of my BROADWAY BARES friends at Splash: cocktail in one hand and wads of dollar bills in the other as we get one step closer to our $1 million fundraising goal."

Tickets are now on sale for BROADWAY BARES: SOLO STRIPS "AROUND THE WORLD" at http://broadwaybares.com/solostrip.html. If tickets are still available, day of the event, they will be sold at Splash on a first-come, first-serve basis starting one hour before the show.

All tickets are $10 and will benefit BC/EFA. There will be two performances (8 PM and 10 PM) at Splash (50 West 17th Street). Doors will open one hour prior to each show.

BROADWAY CARES / EQUITY FIGHTS AIDS is the nation's leading industry-based, nonprofit AIDS fundraising and grant-making organization. By drawing upon the talents, resources and generosity of the American theatre community, BC/EFA raises funds for AIDS-related causes and other critical illnesses across the United States. Since its founding in 1988, BC/EFA has raised over $170 million dollars for critically needed services for people with AIDS and other serious illnesses. BC/EFA is the major supporter of seven programs at The Actors Fund - including The AIDS Initiative, The Phyllis Newman Women's Health Initiative, The Al Hirschfeld Free Health Clinic, The Dancers' Resource and three supportive housing residences. BC/EFA also awards annual grants to over 400 AIDS and family service organizations nationwide. For more information visit: www.BroadwayCares.org
