John Jay College To Present DAHLIA For Three Performances Only

By:

Justice takes the stage when Gerald W. Lynch Theater at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, 899 Tenth Avenue, presents Dahlia:  A Very Nearly True Theatrical Fantasia, a new play by P. Seth Bauer, directed by Heath Cullens, with video projections by Tal Yarden, for three performances only Friday, Saturday and Monday, October 24, 25 and 27, at 7:00 pm, at the John Jay College Gerald W. Lynch Theater ,899 Tenth Avenue at 58th Street.

The grisly murder of a young actress and the dumping of her body in a vacant lot in Los Angeles in 1947 is infamous as the Black Dahlia Murder.  Dahlia:  A Very Nearly True Theatrical Fantasia is based on the 2003 best seller The Black Dahlia Avenger by retired Los Angeles Police Detective Steve Hodel in which he attempted to prove that his own father was guilty of the murder.  P. Seth Bauer's play is a veritable who's who of Hollywood celebrity.

The play features Michael Pemberton, Joshua Stafford, Dawn McGee, Jillian Owens, Eileen Rivera and Ching Valdes.
