After successfully examining the heterosexual mating game in the international hit show I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change, Joe DiPietro explores another type of mating dance with his newest play f-ing MEN.  A freewheeling, contemporary take on Schnitzler's La Ronde, f-ing MEN is making its world premiere in London at the Finborough Theatre.  Performances began on May 14.  The official opening night is Friday, May 16 and the limited engagement is set to run through Saturday, June 7.

f-ing MEN follows a succession of couples and strangers as they negotiate the before and after of lust, love and betrayal.  Some stories are poignant, some hilarious, but collectively they provide a fascinating snapshot of the American male in pursuit of connection and intimacy.  Under the direction of Phil Willmott, the cast of f-ing MEN includes Scott Capurro, Guy Fearon, Morgan James, Nicholas Keith, James Kristian, Timothy Lone, Shai Metuki, Chris Polick, Patrick Poletti, and Adam Unze.

Playwright Joe DiPietro will be represented on Broadway next season with the new Gershwin musical Nice Work If You Can Get It starring Harry Connick, Jr.  He has written two new musicals with David Bryan of Bon Jovi – Memphis will play both the La Jolla Playhouse and Seattle's 5th Avenue Theatre next season, while The Toxic Avenger will debut this fall at George Street Playhouse.  DiPietro wrote book and lyrics for I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change, currently in its 12th smash year at the Westside Theatre, and The Thing About Men (both with composer Jimmy Roberts).  He was also the author of the Broadway musical All Shook Up and the worldwide hit comedy Over the River and Through the Woods.

The playing schedule for f-ing MEN will be Tuesday through Saturday evenings at 7:30 p.m., with matinees Saturday and Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Finborough Theatre, located in Earls Court at 118 Finborough Road.  Tickets are available at www.finboroughtheatre.co.uk.
