Tony & Drama Desk nominated Gabriel Barre (Lippa's Wild Party) will direct and Louis Hobson will produce the developmental workshop of David Klein's new play, Synchro, with a invite-only reading in New York on November 9th.

This reading will star Jill Paice (Curtains, 39 Steps), Eden Espinosa (Wicked, Brooklyn, Rent), Imran W. Sheikh (Co-Founder of Parwaz Playhouse) and Emilee Dupré (Chaplin) alongside an ensemble cast rounded out by Drama Desk Nominee Carrie Cimma (Lizzie Borden), Lindsay Teed (Roundabout's Distracted), Natalia Volkodaeva (The Other Woman, Thanks for Sharing), Tanesha Ross (Hair), Erin McGrath (White Noise, Boardwalk Empire), Alexandra Ausman and Rita Markova.

This funny and innovative new play tells the story of nine women who make up the fictitious Lantern Fish, an Olympic-bound synchronized swimming team who, after an injury, are forced to take on the sport's first male member, a young Indian phenom named Prandesh. Faced with newfound stardom and the sport's sudden mainstream acceptance they struggle to maintain their synchronicity in and out of the water, raising questions of gender, celebrity, culture divides and the tenuous nature of friendships born out of competition.
