Jesus Hates Me: A Texas Premiere Of A Pointed Comedy
The play contains several meaty roles for the right performers. Steven Walters portrayed Ethan with the required fire for the part. As his mother, Annie, Diane Box-Worman was most impressive in some of the play's more intense moments. Allison Tolman also showed the right amount of spark as Lizzy, Ethan's girlfriend.
Kitchen Dog Theatre Co-Artistic Director Christopher Carlos has directed the play appropriately, with just the right emphasis on both the comic and dramatic situations. The effective set by Erin Bailey and costumes by Christina Dickson presented the proper dramatic tone.
Jesus Hates Me will run until December 16. For more information, please select Kitchen Dog Theater's website.
Please Note: Jesus Hates Me is indented for mature audiences only.
