On last night's 'Watch What Happens Live' on Bravo TV, guest Ryan Murphy confirmed to the talk show's host Andy Cohen that actress Jessica Lange would be returning for Season 2 of FX's AMERICAN HORROR STORY. Murphy is co-creator and executive producer of the series.

Recent rumors have circulated that the cast of the show would be in for some shake ups before the second season arrived, but when asked if Lange would be among those returning, Murphy responded with a definitive 'Yes!'.

Lange recently won a SAG award for her portrayal of "Constance" on the series which revolves around the Harmons, a family of three who moved from Boston to Los Angeles as a means to reconcile past anguish. The all-star cast features Dylan McDermott as "Ben Harmon," a psychiatrist; Connie Britton as "Vivien Harmon," Ben's wife; Taissa Farmiga as "Violet," the Harmon's teenage daughter; Jessica Lange in her first-ever regular series TV role as "Constance," the Harmon's neighbor; Evan Peters plays "Tate Langdon," one of Ben's patients; and Denis O'Hare as "Larry Harvey."

Lange starred on Broadway in A Streetcar Named Desire as Blanche DuBois in 1992. She returned to the New York stage in 2005 in The Glass Menagerie after receiving critical acclaim in London in two Bill Kenwright productions in the West End – once again as Blanche Dubois in A Streetcar Named Desire, directed by Peter Hall, and as Mary Tyrone in Eugene O'Neill's Long Day's Journey Into Night, directed by Robin Phillips.

Miss Lange is a six time Academy Award-nominated actress, winning twice for her performances in the films, Tootsie and Blue Sky. Her other Oscar-nominated film performances include Frances, as film actress Frances Farmer, Country, which she also produced, Sweet Dreams as country western legend Patsy Cline and Costa-Gavras' Music Box. Her other notable film performances include starring roles in The Postman Always Rings Twice opposite Jack Nicholson, Crimes of the Heart opposite Sissy Spacek and Diane Keaton, Everybody's All-American opposite Dennis Quaid, Cape Fear and Night and the City, both opposite Robert DeNiro, Rob Roy opposite Liam Neeson and last year's Big Fish opposite Albert Finney and Billy Crudup.
