Jessica Chastain is the recipient of this year's Golden Globe award for Best Actress, Drama for her role as 'Maya' in Kathryn Bigelow's ZERO DARK THIRTY.
Chastain won the award over Marion Cotillard in RUST AND BONE, Helen Mirren in HITCHCOCK, Naomi Watts in THE IMPOSSIBLE, and Rachel Weisz in THE DEEP BLUE SEA.
THIRTY was also nominated for 'Best Motion Picture, Drama,' Kathryn Bigelow for 'Best Director,' and 'Best Screenplay.'
Chastain currently stars in Broadway's The Heiress as 'Catherine Sloper'. The show also stars Academy Award nominee and Emmy Award winner David Strathairn as Dr. Austin Sloper, the leading man of "Downton Abbey" Dan Stevens as Morris Townsend and Tony Award winner Judith Ivey as Lavinia Penniman. Written by Ruth & Augustus Goetz, The Heiress is directed by two-time Tony Award nominated playwright and director Moisés Kaufman.
ZERO DARK THIRTY is the story of history's greatest manhunt for the world's most dangerous man. It follows the special operations forces mission to capture or kill Osama bin Laden.
