Jessica Chastain, Scarlett Johansson, Amanda Seyfried and Reese Witherspoon in Running to Play Hilary Clinton in RODHAM Biopic?

According to The Independent, Jessica Chastain, Scarlett Johansson, Amanda Seyfried and Reese Witherspoon are among the actresses being considered for the part of Hilary Clinton in the upcoming biopic RODHAM.

"They're all wonderful actresses," said the film's director James Ponsoldt. "Regardless of people's political affiliation or how they feel about Hilary Clinton, you don't find people who question the quality of her intelligence or her drive. I want a wonderful actress who could embody that."

Rodham will follow the former First Lady, senator and Secretary of State's younger years, beginning in 1974 when Clinton worked as a lawyer. The film, penned by Young il-Kim, is expected to debut in 2016.

Jessica Chastain last appeared on Broadway in The Heiress. Other upcoming film work includes The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby: His/Hers, Miss Julie, The Zookeeper's Wife, Crimson Peak and Interstellar. Scarlett Johansson last starred on the Great White Way in this season's revival of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. She also appeared in 2010's A View From the Bridge.
