Jennifer Hudson Set for 'IDOL' Return

The New York Post is reporting that Jennifer Hudson is quietly taping her return to "American Idol" after tomorrow night's show is off the air. Once the lights go down on Wednesday's results show, the in-house audience will be treated to an intimate performance by the 27-year-old Oscar winner.

The performance will then be shown on an unspecified future show.

Hudson has been slowly making her way back into the spotlight after the tragic loss of family members with performances at the Super Bowl and Grammys, Jennifer Hudson also appeared on the Friday, February 27th episode of the Oprah Winfrey Show singing her new single, "If This Isn't Love." 

Jennifer Hudson has also announced that she'll be kicking off her first solo tour.

Hudson and R&B singer Robin Thicke will co-headline a five-week tour which will kick off April 2 in Philadelphia and concludes May 8 in Houston reports Star.
